The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away. — Pablo Picasso
There are many ways to serve at Unity of Indianapolis. We will help you find your spiritual gifts, passions and skills if you’re unsure of how you’d like to serve. Some of different ministries are:
Youth & Family Ministry – Assist in our nursery or with Sunday School. Lessons are provided. A background check will be necessary to serve in this area.
Music Ministry – Our Spirit of Praise Singers and Band provides us with music each Sunday. If you play an instrument or sing, you can contact our Minister of Music, Michael Davis. For Easter and Christmas, we also have The Voices of Unity Choir.
H.E.A.R.T. Network – If you like helping people, this team sends cards to those who are ill, provides meals, help with a ride to church or to the doctor, and reaches out with encouraging phone calls and home visits.
The LOVE TRAIN – We provide food and clothing, as well as other items for the homeless and less fortunate on the third Saturday of every month. You are welcome to join us at 10:00 am to help and donations are always appreciated.
Welcome Ministry – Our greeters offer a smile and a program bulletin for our Sunday service. They are there to make everyone feel welcome.
Audio/Visual – Help with the microphones, soundboard, recording and PowerPoint slides on Sundays and during special events. Training is provided.
Office/Administrative – Would you be able to help answer phones, assist with data input, mailings and other office work?
Hospitality – These volunteers make coffee and help to get our Friendship Room ready for fellowship on Sundays. When we have our monthly potluck/pitch-in, they help with set-up and clean-up.
